2014 Edinburgh Fringe
Beyond a Joke
Do you enjoy Fawlty Towers and Midsomer Murders? If so you will love this comedy by Derek Benfield. Set in a country house that is best described as accident-prone due to the number of deaths in unfortunate and embarrassing circumstances. Further complications arise when house owners Andrew and Jane's future son-in-law arrives, unaware of the property's reputation. The local vicar unexpectedly drops in for tea, throwing Andrew and Jane into behaving bizarrely in their attempt to present an appearance of normality. Everything is pressed into use to achieve this, even the garden wheelbarrow!
