Thomas Pocket, all round personality and idiot, invites you to see the character comedy his friend, Oscar, is basically doing for him. Including writing all the characters. And probably presenting it. 'Satisfyingly outlandish' (ThreeWeeks).

The Oscar Jenkyn-Jones three minute interview

Thomas Pocket presents: Me (Oscar Jenkyn-Jones) is the debut solo show from exciting young absurdist Oscar Jenkyn-Jones. An hour-long sashay through moments of unlikely surrealism, impressions of inanimate objects, and silent thinking. This is a whirlwind of acute non-sequiturs; a show-within-a-show.

Martin Walker, Broadway Baby, 11th July 2014

Thomas Pocket presents: Me (Oscar Jenkyn-Jones) is the debut solo show from exciting young absurdist Oscar Jenkyn-Jones. An hour-long sashay through moments of unlikely surrealism, impressions of inanimate objects, and silent thinking. This is a whirlwindof acute non-sequiturs; a show-within-a-show.

The sheep-headed hour opens with our introduction to Thomas Pocket, Jenkyn-Jones' adorable Blytonesque-dope. Pocket shares with us his perspectives on life, losing trains of thought behind scraps of paper, cartons of juice, and pieces of orange peel.

With a touch of the socially-reclusive intellectual about him, it's difficult to ascertain precisely where Jenkyn-Jones ends and Pocket begins. With each momentarily disappearing behind the furrowed brow of the other, it's clear Pocket has carried out a notable land-grab inside the brain of Jenkyn-Jones.

At its heart, this is a show about a man's relationship with his own alter-ego, as the two present various characters, set-pieces, and theatrical scenes.

Oscar Jenkyn-Jones started out as a member of student sketch group The Bristol Revunions. He made his Fringe debut at the Pleasance Courtyard as a part of their 2010 show - a cast that may well go down in British comedy history, featuring Charlotte Ritchie (C4's Fresh Meat), Jamie Demetriou (C4's Comedy Blaps), upcoming stand-up Mat Ewins, exciting character-prospect Ellie White, new writing talent Joe Hampson, and produced by the BBC's Charlie Perkins.
