Once Upon a Nightmare is a darkly comic adventure fantasy play for all ages from the makers of the hit five-star show Death Ship 666! Andy and Sophie are only ten years old when they are sucked into the magical dream world of Somnia to defeat the Nightmare King. But only one makes it back home to reality. Twenty years later, Sophie is called back to Somnia once more to save her childhood friend from the clutches of a nightmare from which no one can wake.

Our story begins in Elm Street Asylum where Doctor Malpractice plans to cure thirty year old Sophie's delusions of a magical world called Somnia. On the day of her release, Sophie is called back to Somnia once more, to right her past. But first she must first remember how to dream...

Box Step Productions is the highly popular new production company from The Clarkson Twins and the genetically unrelated Gemma Hurley. With over a quarter of a million views on YouTube for their viral comedy parodies Fellowship of the Ringwraiths and Star Wars Disney Musical, Box Step Productions have quickly made a name for themselves. Their YouTube hits have brought them to the attention of Lord of The Rings film producer Mark Ordesky and their inaugural short film First Day (inspired by David Nicholl's One Day) saw them make the finalist line up for the Film 4 Scene Stealer Awards.

Michael Patrick Clarkson - Writer
BAFTA shortlisted for some of his independent writing, Michael Clarkson also directs and stars in the production. Writing credits outside of Box Step Productions include: I'm a Londoner (Palladini Productions - Scoop Theatre) and Memoirs of a Bouncer (Disclosure Arts - Young Vic New Voices).

Gemma Hurley - Writer
As a comedy writer and producer, Gemma has produced sketch show pilots including This is Not Medicine (Apsey Roberts Productions). Gemma has also co-created award winning short films Skepticism: A New Miracle Life Cure! and Shoot for the Moon through Shut Up Inifinity Productions, for which she is also developing an ambitious sitcom The Theory of Nothing, set at a large scale science research centre in an alternative universe.

Paul Clarkson - Writer
Paul has had two plays produced through Old Vic New Voices with his identical twin brother, Michael: Embittered, and Memoirs of a Bouncer. After completing a masters in nuclear physics at Birmingham University he joined the industrial research team in the nuclear and energy sector of Rolls-Royce. Paul is currently studying for a PHD in Nano Science at Cambridge University.

Andrew Utley (Andy)
Credits include: Death Ship 666! (Edinburgh Fringe and Leicester Square Theatre). Angeldust (Chequered Blue Theatre Company - Etcetera Theatre), Measure for Measure (Dark Corner Theatre Company - The Cockpit), A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Movement - The Courtyard).

Brendan Murphy (Fenvir)
Brendan's credits include: The Adventure (Royal Exchange Theatre), The Enchanted Story Trail (Rose Theatre), Guns, Love & Chemistry (Kings Head Theatre), Accomplice (Menier Chocolate Factory), Nature Adores A Vacuum (Soho Theatre). TV includes: Vera Brittain, Doctors and Jenny Bede: AAA (BBC)

Dave Bibby (Sack Face)
Theatre credits include: Dick! Comes Again! (The Leicester Square Theatre). Dave was awarded 'Best Male Act' at the SOLO Festival for his one man show Stories from the Spectrum and also writes and performs in sketch trio Lead Pencil; returning to The Underbelly at Edinburgh 2014. TV credits include: Eye Spy (Channel 4)

Victoria Blunt (Onyxis - The Nightmare Queen)
Victoria has performed internationally in film and theatre, and has recently finished working on DogSky Film's first feature length comedy; Headlock Security. She performs stand-up as various off beat characters, as well as writing & performing in sketches and viral videos. Victoria's credits include; Much Ado About Nothing (Berlin); Oliver Twist (Tokyo), co-writer/performer, A Play in A Day (Camden People's Theatre-written in 12 hours). She is also the face of a comedic TOWIE style anti-smoking campaign, by the charity 'QUIT'.

Katerina Stearman (Sophie)
Theatre credits include: The Cherry Orchard (White Bear), Bodies Unfinished (Brockley Jack), Small Mercies (Etcetera), Count Oederland (Arcola), Billy (Union Theatre).

Rachel Bird (Amastris)
Rachel has recently finished rehearsing for Oily Cart's new interactive and multi-sensory show The Bounce which will tour the UK from September 2014. Credits include: The Other School (St James Theatre), A Fairytale Murder (Moors Bar), Cinderella (West Wing Arts Centre).
