XFM presenter and star of The Last Leg (CH4), Josh Widdicombe and Producer Neil bring their award winning XFM Show (iTunes Best New Audio Podcast 2013) to a live Edinburgh Festival audience for the first (and quite possibly last) time. The duo will be chatting with the finest acts at the Fringe for four nights only, 9th - 12th August at Assembly George Square Studios Three at 10:30pm.
Expect all the usual 90s references and appearances from show favourites, including James "Scrapemaster" Acaster, Nish "Good morning, or is it?" Kumar, Joe "Good morning listeners" Lycett, Matthew "Rags to Ritchie" Crosby, and more.
Widdicombe and his right-hand man, Producer Neil, have proved they have what it takes to break the competitive world of commercial radio. In just one short year, their weekly Saturday morning show has received critical acclaim, won the iTunes New Audio Podcast in 2013 and feature regularly in the iTunes Podcast Top 30. As well as his growing success as a radio presenter, Josh is now one of the most in demand and highly regarded comedians in the UK for both his live stand-up and TV work. Highlights include; three sell-out UK tours and two sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, an Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer nominee, three series of the critically acclaimed hit Channel 4 show The Last Leg, with regular appearances on BBC1's Mock The Week, Channel 4's 8 Out Of 10 Cats, BBC 1's Celebrity Mastermind 2013 winner, Channel 4's Stand Up For The Week and Channel 4's Comedy Gala in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital' 2012, 2013 and 2014 (airing this summer).
Josh will also star in his very own self-penned sitcom pilot Josh as part of BBC 3's comedy playhouse series. Due to air in July and debuting on BBC Online, Josh also stars Jack Dee and is co-written by Tom Craine.
Last autumn saw Josh record his debut DVD Josh Widdicombe Live - And Another Thing... at the Hammersmith Apollo, which was released by Universal Pictures (UK) on 18th November and is available to order now.
