Musical comedy meets character comedy in the debut solo show from stand-up and improviser, Jacky Wood.
Jacky used to be half of comedy duo, The Jackells, before picking up her guitar and heading out alone. In 5 Characters in Search of a Guitar, she now hosts her very own 'pick of the fringe', a smart blend of stand-up and characters, all with her trademark sharp, satirical songs....
Jacky doesn't always sing. She filmed with WitTank for BBC3's Live at the Electric, played mouthy London matriarch Carol Tucker in the sitcom pilot Plastic Gangsters and is also an experienced improviser. She was a regular in the impro group The Couch, with two years of sell out shows on PBH's Free Fringe at the Edinburgh Festival, and recently trained in New York with the acclaimed Upright Citizen's Brigade (UCB).
After a highly successful single week debut at the PBH's Free Fringe last year, 5 Characters in Search of Guitar returns to the Edinburgh Festival this year.
