Comedian Jack Dee makes a long overdue (20 years!) and very welcome return to the Edinburgh Fringe with a totally new type of live show.

Accompanied by an ever-changing panel of guests, Jack will try to shed light on the audience's personal problems, dilemmas and issues. Nothing is written or prepared and nobody knows what the questions from the audience will be until the show begins.

"I've only done a few of these shows as warm-ups to make sure that the premise works" says Jack. "What I discovered is that, every time, the show is unique and funny in its own way according to my guests and the audience's input".

"But what's exciting to me about it is not just the obvious danger of an entirely unplanned, unpredictable show, but that it is such a good platform for big-name comedians but also those that often don't get their rightful share of attention on radio and television. It means that on any night you can expect me to have invited some top comedy names but also a rising star or two that you'll be glad you caught before they hit arena-time".

Jack and his guests will be providing their assistance at Assembly George Square One for a limited run only from 18th - 24th August at 6:30pm.

Jack Dee made his eagerly awaited return to stand up after a 6 year absence last year with his critically acclaimed 18 month sold out UK tour. This was followed by the release of his first DVD in 8 years, Jack Dee: So What? Live, released by Universal Pictures UK Nov 2013 (available to order now.)

So... where's he been? Appearing on shows like QI and Shooting Stars, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Have I Got News For You. He's been hosting Radio 4's legendary I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, recently hosted Sky Atlantic's new show Don't Sit In The Front Row, co-writing and starring in four series of BBC 2's hit sitcom Lead Balloon and writing his memoirs, Thanks For Nothing which he modestly dedicated to himself - "Without whom none of this would have been possible".
