2014 Edinburgh Fringe

From the slums of Manchester to the dark heart of colonial Asia, bungling revolutionaries Marx and Engels rattle through the mid 19th century rewriting history and common morality at every step. Engels! returns to the Fringe alongside the premiere of its sequential caper Heart of Marxness. Whether writing the Communist manifesto (with help from a multitalented prostitute) or traversing the depths of Indo-China, Marx and Engels are never far from the action encountering rebellious students, scheming police chiefs and the ever present threat of time travelling scientists.
