2014 Edinburgh Fringe
David Elms: Nurture Boy
Thoughtful romantic David Elms whispers it from the rooftops in this, his charming and inventive debut show. Expect songs, some chat and romance (little surprises, big gestures, bit with a rubik's cube, etc). 'Original, intelligent and madcap' **** (WhatsOnStage.com). 'Sharp, eccentric writing ... unstoppable' (Chortle.co.uk). 'Intelligently comic and joyously silly' **** (BroadwayBaby.com). 'Silly, fun, ridiculous, surprising and inventive' **** (Edinburgh Festivals Magazine). 'Laughter here is guaranteed' **** (ThreeWeeks). Chortle finalist 2012 and Musical Comedy Awards winner 2014. As seen previously in The Invisible Dot New Wave, The Improverts, Charmed Forces, Transformer and on BBC Three.

Nurture Boy is the Pleasance-produced debut solo show from rising stand-up star David Elms.
Genre-defying, hopeless romantic David Elms has a unique and endearing, uproariously funny stage persona. Expect songs, some chat, surprises, some unexpected character comedy, some more songs, a little romance and a bit with a Rubik's cube.
An accomplished and prolific writer and actor, David has performed his comedic songs and stand up comedy sets at festivals and venues across the UK, including Latitude Festival, Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival, Machynlleth Comedy Festival, the Invisible Dot New Wave tour and 2014's Montreal Showcase.
His onscreen credits include: BBC Comedy Presents, the BBC 3 Edinburgh Marathon Show, various sketch roles for the Sam & Steve's Silent Sketch Show pilot and Matt Lucas's latest BBC pilot Pompidou. Radio credits include Radio 4xtra. He is also the writer and star of short film New Hat and the creator and host of Time Out Critic's Choice London stand up night - Dave Has Mates.
