More details
Wilkinson Ford are to première their new family friendly comedy show, Kagoolio, at the Edinburgh Fringe 2014.
Comedy duo Wilkinson Ford make a return to the Edinburgh Fringe; this time with a full length show as their silent comedy alter egos, The Kagools.
Their brand new physical comedy show, Kagoolio, transports audiences to a weird and weatherproofed world of interactive multimedia and audience participation, making this a wordless adventure through space and time.
Kagoolio is enchanting, bold, high-energy fun for the whole family to enjoy.
Of their debut full-length show as The Kagools, the double act said:
Claire Ford: "The Kagools started as recurring characters in our regular sketch shows. We kept bringing them back as they proved really popular with audiences, people always wanted to see more of them."
Nicola Wilkinson: "We also really loved playing them, so we've thought about a full-length show for a while now. We wanted to see where we could take them beyond a 10-minute sketch. It's been so much fun developing this show, we're really excited."
Claire Ford: "It feels like a natural progression for us, and the great thing about The Kagools is that the comedy is universal. Whatever language you speak and however young or old you are, you can follow along and feel a part of the ridiculous mess The Kagools get themselves into."
About Wilkinson Ford
Wilkinson Ford formed in 2011. Since then they've been tickling both online and live audiences with their unique brand of sketch and character comedy.
Their spoof take on a Wilkinson Sword commercial attracted the attention of the BBC and won them a host of internet fans as far afield as Barbados! To date, they've staged three full-length shows; The Gherkin Fantasies, The Wilkinson Ford Variety Show and Wilkinson Ford: Webmasters all of which have combined pre-recorded footage and live performance to brilliant effect. Wilkinson Ford: Kagoolio, uses the same compelling formula with an extra surprise twist.
Both talented performers in their own right, Nicola Wilkinson (actress and stand-up comedian - Finalist in both New Act of the Year and So You Think You're Funny 2013) and Claire Ford (comedy character actress and film-maker - Creator of internet sensation Terri Skyler of BBC Pilot Fat Pipes fame) have amazing chemistry as a double-act.
