Chelsea Manders is a Canadian Comedy Award winner (Best Solo Show) - a mischievous and bold comedic folk singer. This August she will make her Edinburgh Festival debut at the Assembly George Square with her hilarious show Don't Tell My Dad. Don't Tell My Dad is about how Chelsea overcame her supportive middle-class upbringing to become the disturbed woman she is today!

Her comedic topic matter is definitely unique to the world of comedy. Chelsea writes and sings about profound issues like love (Cannibal in Love), the environment (Bush Whore), babies (Existential Baby Lullaby), literature (Anne of Green Gables who Dances on Tables), family (Slutty Cousin Bossa Nova), marriage (Polygamy), politics (Commonwealth Bordello), history (The Plaguey Princess Song), and travel (Talk Dirty En Francais).'

Chelsea's hit show, Naughty Little Children, NOW Critic's Pick/Outstanding Performance won the 2010 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Solo Show. She has also been featured on Three Takes (Slice Network) and How To Be Indie (YTV) and has recorded two CDs: Don't Tell My Dad and Look It Up Yourself. A triple threat if there ever was one! With appearances on the Comedy Network TV and CBC Radio & TV (the Canadian equivalent to BBC) she has certainly established herself as one to watch.

She has played nationally in Canada at broadcast galas and clubs, and also toured the Canadian fringe circuit for 8 years; during which she won the Producers' Pick, Outstanding Performance and Critic's Pick awards... amongst many other accolades!
