New York comic Abigoliah Schamaun has a reputation as the "Queen of Obscene" (Sunday Herald) with her balls-out-talk-about-anything approach to comedy. This year she's decided to cover something truly subversive; her love for her parents.
Abigoliah takes the path less comically trodden in this bold look at her parents' lifelong love and support... rather than harping on about a fucked up childhood.
While her upbringing was far from perfect, parenting the kid who grew up to candidly talk about her sex life and eat glass on stage couldn't have been a walk in the park... all in all she feels her parents' efforts are damn straight worth celebrating.
Sure she'd never wanted to invite her dad to her shows, but that was simply due to how often she talks about sex... and men... and threesomes... and women... and threesomes. When her mother saw her perform however, she found they had more in common then she thought!
This show proves it may be cool to hate your parents but it's funnier when you can admit that you don't. It is also about sex... and men... and threesomes... and women... and threesomes.
