Rhys Nicholson was watching TV with his boyfriend when he suddenly felt a warm sensation over his body. Rhys thought it was a stroke. It turned out to be happiness. Like some sort of coma patient, awoken from a sleep of misery and pessimism, Rhys analyses his new found contentment. He's also going to swear, a lot, and talk about his problems, a lot. Happiness is bullshit. Rhys will explain. No refunds. Best Newcomer 2012, Sydney Comedy Festival. 'Check your moral outrage and political correctness at the door' **** (Herald Sun).

More details

Following regular appearances on Balls of Steel Australia (Comedy Channel) and his success at Sydney Comedy Festival where he was named Time Out's Best Newcomer, razor sharp Australian comedian Rhys Nicholson makes his UK debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013.

Rhys Nicholson was watching TV with his boyfriend when he suddenly felt a warm sensation over his body. Rhys thought it was a stroke. It turned out to be happiness. Like some sort of coma patient, awoken from a sleep of misery and pessimism, Rhys analyses his new found contentment in Dawn of a New Error. He's going to swear, a lot, and talk about his problems, a lot.

Rhys Nicholson has garnered extensive critical praise for his spine tinglingly stylish, absolutely ruthless and entirely unapologetic black comedy. His unique brand of wry humour and sardonic wit combined with a complete lack of self-censorship make for hilarious social commentary.

Having been named a finalist in RAW Comedy Award in 2009, Rhys has become a regular at the Sydney Comedy Store, performed at Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals and toured the east coast of NSW and Queensland as part of the inaugural Breakout Comedy Tour.
