Introducing multi-award-winning comedian and rising star Rob Beckett. Though this is his first solo show at the Fringe, Rob is already gathering up a heap of awards and nominations, appearing on TV and supporting the likes of Russell Kane, Stephen K. Amos and Jim Jefferies on tour. He also has lovely teeth.
Rob's from London and comedy is his job, therefore the Fringe is technically a business trip, but he enjoys it far too much to call it 'work'. He's on his Summer Holiday. In this highly anticipated show, Rob explores family, expectations and Jeremy Beadle.
Rob started performing stand up in 2009 and quickly enjoyed success in all of the New Comedian competitions, winning four in his first year. Consistently impressive performances in these competitions culminated in Rob finishing as runner up in the So You Think You're Funny and winning the Amused Moose Laugh Off at the Fringe in 2010, which in turn lead to invites to take part in the popular Australian comedy festivals where Rob then went on to be nominated for the Best Newcomer Award!
It is Rob's unique observations and unusual take on life that keep him regularly gigging in the UK's top comedy clubs and, since starting out, Rob has appeared in Fresh Meat (Channel 4), Richard Bacon's Beer & Pizza Club (ITV4), Geordie Shore's Mint Bits (MTV), and 50 Greatest Plastic Surgery Shockers (E4), as well as performing on Russell Kane's Summer Seaside Tour on Radio 2.
