British Comedy Guide, 22nd August 2012More details
The exquisitely mannered and multi-award winning Joe Lycett brings his highly anticipated debut hour, Some Lycett Hot, to the Edinburgh Fringe and the Pleasance Courtyard.
An hour in Joe's company is a frolic of cerebral camp observations, finding joy in language, silliness and sending petty messages to various authority figures.
Joe is an immensely talented up-and-coming comedian and a former finalist in the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year (2009) and BBC New Comedy Awards (2011) competitions. In 2009 Joe won the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year competition and was named Chortle Best Newcomer a year later, whilst he's supported Ross Noble, Tommy Tiernan and, most recently at the Hammersmith Apollo, Jack Whitehall.
His TV credits include Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats and E4's Show and Tell and BBC1's Epic Win, whilst he regularly appears on radio including BBC Radio 5Live's The Richard Bacon Show and BBC Radio 4's Comedy Club. At Edinburgh, Joe has performed as part of showcase shows The Lunchtime Club and the Pleasance's Comedy Reserve.
