2012 Edinburgh Fringe

Video clips from BBC Three's Comedy Marathon

BBC Three Comedy Marathon. Image shows from L to R: Chris Ramsey, Susan Calman, Andrew Maxwell

For eight hours overnight the BBC broadcast live from its Edinburgh Fringe venue (via the BBC Red Button service). Chris Ramsey, Susan Calman and Andrew Maxwell (pictured) acted as the MCs.

The lights went out for a bit, comedians said rude things, studio presenter Jameela Jamil demonstrated that not everyone is cut out for live TV interviewing, and a couple of the acts bombed, but other than that it could be said the Marathon was a success.

If you missed the event, fear not, as here are a selection of video bits from some of the sets. An hour of highlights will be broadcast on BBC Three on Friday 31st August at 9pm.
