American Erich McElroy is more British than you. Not surprising really, he had to revise for it, swear an oath and learn all the verses of the national anthem. He's taken the biggest pub quiz going and won citizenship. But is that enough? Come and share this hour of comedy about discovering what it takes to become British, other than the relevant documentation. If you still don't think Erich is British and wish to complain - join the queue. 'Great gags' (Stage). 'Hilariously insightful' (List).

American Erich McElroy is more British than you. This may come as a bit of a surprise seeing as he was born and raised in Seattle, but he's worked hard to be British. He's revised for it, sworn an oath and learned all the verses of the national anthem.

Erich has taken the British government sanctioned pub quiz and won the grand prize - his British passport. But is that enough to make him British? Especially when no seems to know what that means?

In this hour of comedy Erich discovers what it takes to become British - other than the relevant documentation. From the cynicism and piss-taking to tea cosies and beer, Erich dissects British culture - and adds his own touch of Americana to the Union Jack.

At the end of the show you'll discover he's more British then you might think. Maybe even a bit more British than you.

If you still don't think Erich is British and wish to complain - join the queue.

Originally from Seattle, Erich joined ranks and became a British citizen in 2007. He is now highly regarded on the UK comedy circuit for his humorous and insightful take on living in the UK.

This year will be Erich's debut solo show at the Edinburgh festival. In 2006 he was in the two-man Brokeback Britain, which received sterling reviews, and a Total Fringe Sell-Out Award. In 2010 Erich was back in Edinburgh, as part of the legendary AAA Stand-Up show. The show received a four-star review and another Total Fringe Sell-Out Award.
