Tom Goodliffe: The Good Liffe
Award-winning comedian and management accountant Tom spent years in a job he didn't like to buy things he didn't need to impress friends he didn't have. Rapidly approaching 30, he had spent the last few years thinking too much and living too little. This is what he did next. Tom Goodliffe, star of the Pleasance Comedy Reserve 2010, presents his highly anticipated debut solo show about life, love and living the dream. Expect spreadsheets. 'It is our choices ... that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities' (Dumbledore).

An interview with Tom Goodliffe
Today we have an interview with Tom Goodliffe; a comedian who is slowly, but surely (surely?) making a name for himself on the comedy circuit, what with his clever witticisms, endearing storytelling and love for a good spreadsheet (all former accountants love spreadsheets, right?).

Tom Goodliffe, star of the Pleasance Comedy Reserve 2010, presents his highly-anticipated debut solo show about life, love and living the dream.
An award-winning comedian and management accountant, Tom spent years in a job he didn't like, to buy things he didn't need to impress friends he didn't have. Rapidly approaching 30, he had spent the last few years thinking too much and living too little. This show is about how he got there and what he did next.
Performing comedy since late 2007, this former bean-counter turned his back on a successful career in The City and through his winning combination of engaging warmth and smart material is earning himself a reputation as a talented and promising act on the UK comedy circuit.
In 2009, Tom won the annual new act competition at Manchester's famous Frog & Bucket comedy club. He has won the new act competition at London's Comedy Cafe, appeared in a number of other competition finals and was "runner up with special commendation" at You Must Be Joking at the Newbury Comedy Festival 2008.
This is Tom's debut solo show at the Fringe. In 2008 he was one quarter of the delightful afternoon free fringe show Homework for Heroes, with Nat Luurtsema, Helen Arney and Broderick Chow.
2009 saw him team up once again with Broderick Chow to present Tom and Brody are SO Comedy and in 2010 he was selected to be part of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve.
Tom is resident host of popular London comedy night Every Other Monday and co-presenter of film review podcast Every Other Movie.
