Anarchic sketch troupe The Dog-Eared Collective change your life. One sketch at a time. Fly on the cape tails of a Diddy Man Vigilante, champion the power of Snooker: The Musical and answer the smell of the wild. Pour homme. Supercharged silliness that will scrub you up the right way. 'Sublimely surreal' **** (Chortle.co.uk) 'Make no mistake these comedians are very funny'**** (Hairline.org.uk) 'They possess the downright gutsy balls not seen since Jam, the silliness of Bottom and the honest comedy ride that was Smack the Pony.' (Leeds Guide).

An interview with The Dog Eared Collective

Since their formation back in 2005, The Dog-Eared Collective have been making audiences laugh wherever they perform; whether that be on the circuit, at festivals, in pubs, clubs and even on roof tops (if their website is to be believed anyway).

Edinburgh fringe previews 2011: Dog Eared Collective

We called Kathryn Hanke out of Dog Eared Collective while she was in the process of looking for a Thundercats costume. She suspended the search for long enough to tell SSP about the group's new Edinburgh show, street dancing pensioners and stalking Helen Mirren...

After a triumphant run at the Brighton Fringe earlier in the year - The Sunday Times critics' choice of the weekend - "superlative" sketch group The Dog-Eared Collective bring their brand new show, You're Better Than This to the Edinburgh Fringe. This is the sketch group of the fringe this year.

Directed by Alan Freestone, (Greedy, Lucy Porter and Des Clarke) You're Better Than This is a riotous sketch fest showcasing the groups' quirky style of combining ingenious prop comedy with British eccentricity. Joyously unpredictable and in places a touch surreal, audiences are invited to fly on the cape tails of a Diddy-Man Vigilante, cue up for Snooker: The Musical and sniff out a Samurai's secret.

The Dog-Eared Collective's star is firmly in the ascendency having received a clutch of great reviews recently at the Brighton Fringe for this show as well as being chosen to feature in Citroen's sponsorship advertising for the festival. The company have performed across the UK alongside the likes of Idiots of Ants and The Penny Dreadfuls, as well as hosting The Doghouse - a monthly comedy night where headliners included Paul Foot and Lloyd Langford.
