2011 Edinburgh Fringe
The Commedia Cinderella
Commedia dell arte, Italian for 'comedy of the professional artists' was a popular form of improvisational theatre that began in Italy in the 15th century and continued in its appeal for centuries. The original fairy tale has been adapted by Lane Riosley and is performed in the 16th century style of commedia dell arte. The players will infuse new life and energy into the classic tale of Cinderella. The troupe's players will thrill audiences from young to not so young. The Commedia Cinderella is bursting with physical humour and witty banter reminiscent of the Marx Brothers!
