2011 Edinburgh Fringe
Poor Caroline
How d'you fancy a flutter in the business of morals? The infamous Caroline Denton-Smyth is starting a revolution: a moral revolution. She will expel immorality and s-e-x from Great British films and talkies. To aid her cause she assembles a board of directors: a motley crew including moral, morally questionable and downright absurd characters. Let this charismatic group: the scientist, scoundrel, spinster and starlet, whisk you away to 1920s London. A glamorous world of tea, tantrums and toffs. From the company that brought Jane Austen's Lady Susan comes an adaptation of a novel by South Riding's Winifred Holtby.
