More details
Fringe favourites Keiran And The Joes head back to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year with a brand new hour that is guaranteed to change your life.
Teampowered is the story of an audience's transformation from a group of strangers to an unstoppable team through a demonstration of the life-changing power of teamwork.
There are exercises in team-building, a birthday party for one lucky audience member that takes an unexpectedly dark turn, a trip back in time to the terror of the blitz and a trust exercise that pushes friendship to the limit.
Teampowered - Come as an audience. Leave as a team.
Kieran And The Joes are Kieran Hodgson, Joe Markham and Joe Parham who work in collaboration with co-writer, Tom Meltzer.
Kieran Hodgson is a massive Doctor Who fan and dreams of playing the Doctor one day. His team were knocked out in the first round of University Challenge this year despite the fact that he can draw the entire tube map from memory. He is also performing on the Free Fringe this year with house mate Natalie Dibsdale in a character comedy show named Parents Evening.
Joe Markham works as an English teacher. He is skilled in several martial arts and spends most of his free time learning obscure dance moves off YouTube videos and performing arm locks on Kieran. He can play any song on guitar after hearing it once.
Joe Parham has written sketches for CBBC's I'm Sorry I've Got No Head and articles for Intelligent Life and Standpoint magazine. After one Kieran And The Joes show he was approached and offered £100 an hour to be a Harry Potter impersonator. He said no. He also claims to be directly descended from both Thomas Moore and the prophet Mohammed.
Tom Meltzer (co-writer) is a journalist and comedy writer. At university he co-founded and edited the award-winning satirical magazine The Oxymoron. He has also written articles for Private Eye and sketches for BBC Radio 4. He was given his own diary column in G2 at the age of 22. In 2010 he was one of the Guardian newspaper's regular election diarists. He is producing four shows at the festival this year.
