Josh Howie: I Am A Dick
The guy on the running machine said I'm an a**hole. The old lady on the bus reckons a c**k. My wife thinks a tw*t. But they're all wrong. I'm a dick. 'Treads a fine line but he treads it perfectly. Both fascinating and funny' **** (Scotsman), 'A skillful comic whose ability to layer gag upon gag is unlikely to be surpassed' (List), 'With such wit and succession of one-liners it is impossible not to be impressed' **** (Sunday Express). 'Howie is a name to watch' (Times), 'A fabulous storyteller' ***** (Metro).

London Is Funny, 29th July 2011I am a Dick - Josh Howie interview
The comedian tells us, in his own words, why he's a dick.
Brian Donaldson, The List, 26th July 2011More details
The guy on the running machine called him 'an asshole.' The old lady on the bus reckoned 'a cock.' His wife thinks 'a twat.' But they're all wrong. Josh is a dick. He's done his best to conceal this fact over the years, but now enough is enough. It's time to take a stand for all those fellow people out there who can't help but say the wrong thing at the wrong time; who can't help but take things too far if there's a point to be won, regardless of the consequences to body and mind. Josh is a dick, and he wants you to join him.
Josh Howie returns to the Edinburgh Festival with his third hour long show I Am A Dick following two hugely successful critically-acclaimed runs - last year's Gran Slam and prior to that for his debut show Chosen in 2008.
A firm favourite on the comedy circuit, Josh also presents his own show Movie Geek for Sky Movies, which he's done for the past 4 years. He has been filmed for the Comedy Central shows The Comedy Store, World Stands Up and Comedy Blue and has appeared on BBC Radio 4's Act Your Age and 4 Stands Up. His written work regularly features in The Guardian and he is a columnist for Sky Movies Magazine and for www.blokely.com.
