They say there is a downward spiral, they say there are five steps to recovering from heartbreak, they say a lot of things, but one thing they can definitely say is that award-winning Canadian comic Jason John Whitehead has returned with another uncompromising stand up show.

The past year has really sucked for JJ, trapped by a volcanic ash cloud that somehow led to the end of his thus-far pretty near perfect five year relationship, he's had a year to look back, take stock and wonder what the hell happened. Some people get therapy, comics turn their misery into entertainment. Drunk, bitter, newly single, depressed, high, lost; Jay wrote what has turned out to be the most personal, compelling and funny show of his career.

Don't worry, this isn't a breakdown. More a breakdown of a breakdown. It's ok. JJ is on the mend.

A sweet, charmingly introspective but still incredibly daft, inventive and funny comedy show, Letters from Mindy is interwoven with a series of letters from (unsurprisingly) Mindy, Jason's oldest childhood friend. Born two days apart, they've always measured their lives by each other's milestones. Which is great when things are going well, but when there're not, it can really make you look at your life.

Jason John Whitehead has been performing his brand of stand-up comedy all over the world for the past 12 years. He is a regular at comedy festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, the Netherlands and his home country of Canada. A regular headliner on the British and club circuit, Jason has headlined prestigious clubs such as The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Highlight, The Glee Club, and ... well all of them really.
