Roll up, roll up, as Edinburgh's top selling comedian Jason Byrne returns to the Fringe for eleven nights only - to hotwire your comedy funny bones with his brand new show Cirque du Byrne!

Brought to you by the ringmaster of tom-foolery himself, Cirque du Byrne promises to be an anarchy packed show of acrobatic proportions. Encounter deviously constructed comic spectacles, be tamed by on-stage farce and audience interaction, and gasp in awe at daring comic stunts as the definitive clown of comedy pushes his riotous show to the edge.

Jason says: "This is my sixteenth year at the Fringe, I have never missed a festival in my whole career, it has made me the comedian that I am today. Edinburgh's like a boot camp for stand ups, you come out the other side a better comic every time. This year, Cirque Du Byrne, has been toured all over Australia and now into Edinburgh, the show conjures up the best fun ever in a room, and no better place than the Fringe to get it to top level madness. I can't wait!"

Jason's inspired, original brand of high-energy intelligent lunacy, ensures that there is no other comedian like him and his sell-out shows have attracted accolades including: Chortle Award for Best Headliner 2007, Perrier Newcomer Award Nomination 1998 and Perrier Award Nomination 2001. Most recently Jason won the Sony Radio Gold Award for Best Comedy for his Radio 2 sitcom The Jason Byrne Show.

Jason Byrne's television credits include: Channel 4's Comedy Gala (Channel 4), Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford (ITV1), hosting Dave's One Night Stand (Dave) in Dublin, Live at the Apollo (BBC One), Marco's Kitchen Burnout (ITV1), Up Close and Personal with Jason Byrne (RTE), Anonymous (RTE2) and The Byrne Ultimatum (RTE2). In 2010 Jason hosted two series' of The Jason Byrne Show (BBC Radio 2), starred in two series' of The Odd Half Hour (BBC Radio 4) and wrote and starred in Father Figure (BBC Radio 2) which will be returning for a series later this year.
