More details
Since using a Fisher Price camera as a child Ian Fox has always been interested in photography. Since discovering a long discarded scratched seven inch vinyl version of The Funky Gibbon in the family record player he's been interested in comedy. This year he's decided the put the two things together in a show. Ian Fox Exposes Himself consists of a range of funny or interesting images taken by Fox including street photography (see link below), candid portraiture and film scene parodies featuring his cat.
As a comedian Ian received a 4-star Chortle review for his debut show in 2006 - The Butterfly Effect - which he later developed into a BBC Radio Pilot (no pun intended) and previous press quotes include "Endlessly Entertaining." City Life; "several divisions higher in the comedy league" - Chortle; "Funny Fascinating and Engaging" - Scotsman; "Charming, Intelligent and above all incredibly funny" - Leeds Guide.
He's also appeared every year at the Edinburgh fringe since 2003 in The Great Big Comedy Picnic.
Ian went to art college and university to study photography and media and worked in commercial studios in the North West on projects for clients including the world's favourite airline and some not so favourite financial institutions. He's also produced poster images for numerous shows at this years fringe festival along with the Free Festival brochure.
