The creator of BBC Radio 4's comedy hit It Is Rocket Science and special guests bring you a unique science/stand-up/fancy dress/tinfoil space celebration. In 1961 Yuri Gagarin became the first human to orbit Earth. In 1981 the first space shuttle launched. In 2011 find the perfect excuse to dress up as Skylab and join a friendly enthusiasm-fest about the cosmos! 'Keen is clearly someone to watch' (Sunday Times), 'embodies all the best things about intellectual comedy. Smart without being elitist and with just the right amounts of sincerity and sarcasm' (Spoonfed.co.uk).

The creator of BBC Radio 4's critically acclaimed comedy It Is Rocket Science and special guests bring you a unique science/stand-up/fancy dress/tinfoil space celebration.

In 1961 Yuri Gagarin became the first human to orbit Earth. In 2011 find the perfect excuse to dress up as the space shuttle (while you still can!) and join a friendly enthusiasm-fest about the cosmos.

After the success of the sell-out, all-singing, all-dancing, all-dressed-in-silvery-space-costumes Spacetacular! in Camden on 12th April celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight, Helen Keen is bringing two Spacetacular! shows to the PBH Free Fringe in Edinburgh this summer. As always there'll be guests from the worlds of science and comedy, plus the audience can bring along their own space memorabilia for a quick fire show and tell...

Helen Keen is a stand-up comedian and writer. Her solo shows mix stand-up with science, storytelling and inventively homemade props, spinning comedy out of such arcane and unlikely subjects as 19th-century Arctic exploration, or the development of the robot. Her debut solo show, It Is Rocket Science! won the Buxton Festival Fringe Award for Best Comedy Performance and was broadcast in March 2011 as a four-part BBC Radio 4 comedy series also starring Peter Serafinowicz and produced by Gareth Edwards.
