More details
Following an outstanding debut at Edinburgh Fringe 2010 with Get Laid or Die Trying, the voluptuous and sassy stand-up Gemma Goggin returns with Double G, a show dedicated to celebrating and exploring breasts of all shapes and sizes.
Everyone likes a good boob and Gemma has plenty to go around. With personal tales and factual delights, Gemma explores the place of Breasts throughout the ages: how we view them, how we support them, and why we love them. Illuminating, informative and occasionally interactive, Gemma offers astonishing facts, outrageous anecdotes and surprising perspectives for both male and female audience members to consider.
Gemma also presents Gemma Goggin's Celebrity Sleepover at midnight from Thursday to Sunday at Gilded Balloon. Special guests share late-night secrets and stories, with pyjamas and midnight feasts optional.
The daughter of two fairly repressed Irish Catholics, Gemma seeks to talk about the things we don't like to talk about - a little inappropriate, a little filthy on occasion, with a whole lot of laughter along the way.
Originally from Birmingham, Gemma trained as an actress and singer at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She now performs stand-up in London and further afield, with recent gigs including Funny Women, Laughing Horse, Comedy Store Gong, and Finger in The Pie Cabaret at Madame JoJo's with gigs in New York and LA on the horizon. Also an accomplished singer, Gemma has performed in cabaret shows at venues including The Soho Revue Bar, Cabaret at Lauderdale House and Leicester Square Theatre Basement (in her one-woman show - Gagging with Goggin).
