2011 Edinburgh Fringe

Video: Fascinating Aida - Cheap Flights

Fascinating Aïda: Cheap Flights. Image shows from L to R: Adèle Anderson, Sarah-Louise Young, Dillie Keane

Comedy cabaret trio Fascinating Aida are having a rather good time at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe. Their daily show at the Gilded Balloon keeps selling out, and despite adding more shows, the demand is still outstriping the number of tickets available.

So why is everyone flocking to see Fascinating Aida? Well, despite looking all prim and proper, these three musical ladies have some funny but slightly rude songs to share. For example, amongst the hour long show is The Dogging Song, a fond homage to the joys of al fresco sex described last year by The Times as "...the dirtiest & funniest song of the century so far." Another highlight is their Cheap Flights song, which has now been viewed on YouTube over six million times. Check it out below. It starts slowly, but builds up into quite a strong but funny rant against the airline industry...

If you don't manage to catch the trio in Edinburgh, fear not as they plan to tour throughout the UK until November 2011, and then settle down into a West End venue for Christmas.
