Dave and Charlie fight the Battle Of Britain

For Fringe 2011, Dave Gibson and Charlie Talbot present a thorough investigation into the cultural, social and economic differences that occur across the British Isles today. Well, they have a big barney about which is better, Dave's North or Charlie's South. To give you a flavour, we asked the guys to present their respective cases for regional superiority, offering some topics around which to structure their debate.

The Battle of Britain: North Vs South is set for the ultimate festival showdown as Hackney Empire New Act of the Year finalist Dave Gibson and star of Blow Up: The Musical Charlie Talbot battle it out in the most hilarious ways to decide, once and for all, which is better - The North or The South.

With games and quizzes galore, you can vote for yourself as EastEnders battles Corrie, pork pies clash with foccacia and Dave spars with Charlie for glory and the crown, all for your amusement.

In 2010, fringe audiences decided that The North was better than The South, but this is your chance to get involved as Dave and Charlie return to Edinburgh for a re-match, who will win 2011's The Battle of Britain? You decide...

Dave Gibson is a multi-award winning stand-up whose northern charm and cheeky banter have won him several titles including the Oxford Fringe New Act of The Year and Best Show for 'Art of Comedy' at Hull Comedy Festival.

Charlie Talbot is best known for his role as Max Klein in the sell out hit show Blow Up: The Musical, where he played an ex banker explaining the credit crunch with a full oompah band!
