After a sell-out run last year, the Footlights Tour Show continues to be a 'must-have ticket' (Times). It has launched many of the greatest names in comedy, and this year will perform to twenty thousand people across two continents. Don't miss the biggest ever tour from 'the most renowned sketch troupe of them all.' (Independent)

The one star awarded is just for them turning up and for not using too many "f" words, given that the age guidance was for 12+. (Do the administrators really think it is acceptable for 12 year olds to be exposed to unintelligible rubbish like this, punctuated with the odd, and bordering on gratuitous, expletive?).

Perhaps I'm too old, (64), but my daughter wasn't (30), and the only comment she was able to make at the end was, "interesting". "Interesting", (as we discussed over dinner), probably overstates what was a truly dire, pointless, sorry and pathetic show. The most charitable thing we could say is that it finished on time. Neither of us once laughed or even smiled, simply because we didn't understand what these guys were on about. Having said that, the 30 something year old woman sitting next to me was convulsed with laughter for the entire 60 minutes. That was actually the funniest thing about the whole evening; either she was laughing in order to demonstrate her superior intellect, or she was a plant.

This was a complete and utter waste of £9. I felt like asking for my money back. It was an absolute piss-take.
