Pappy's interview
A chat with fun-loving sketch trio Pappy's...
Tommy Holgate, The Sun, 11th August 2010Edinburgh Nightmare
Here's an indication of the sort of narcissitic personality disorder that is the inevitable by-product of walking around a city that has A1 posters of your face plastered everywhere.

From Channel 4, BBC Radio 4 and fresh from a critically acclaimed international tour, Pappy's return to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with their biggest show ever!
Pappy's are finding out that being "the funniest sketch troupe on the fringe" (The Scotsman) is a serious business. In the face of a financial crisis that could spell the end of the trio's fun, the application of profit strategies and business models could be the only way forward. But how will they cope if their show is turned into a well-oiled machine? Will our plucky trio be able to maintain a state of silliness when all around are losing their sense of humour?
Since receiving a nomination for the if.Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier) at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007, Pappy's have recorded their own TV show for Channel 4, their own radio show for Radio 4, appeared as part of Comedy Shuffle on BBC3 and Comedy Cuts on ITV2 and live at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Their fourth Edinburgh show, World Record Attempt: 200 sketches in an hour, which attracted widespread critical praise, was followed by a 50 date national tour and an appearance at the San Francisco Sketch Comedy Festival.
