What do you do when you find out the girl you're chatting up is racist, when a handshake goes wrong, when you're walking at night in the same direction as a lone girl? A musical comic celebrates these moments - romantic disasters, social faux pas, professional humiliations - when you wish the ground would swallow you up. Quirky one-liners, songs and stand up in this warm, engaging show that's full of laughs. 'A very funny man' (XFM Manchester); 'Geekish likeability ... awkward charm in bundles' (Chortle.co.uk).

Ever had those moments when a handshake goes wrong, when you realise the girl you're chatting up is racist, when a lorry driver wants a little something in return for a lift or when your false tooth comes between you and a romantic partner?

Well, Matt Tiller has had more than most, and he will enlighten us all with such tales at the Edinburgh Fringe 2010 with his new show, Matt Tiller's Awkward Situation.

The 'hilarious' (New Statesman) musical comedian returns to the Fringe and Just The Tonic at the Caves with brand new material and excruciatingly funny situations, 'endearingly shambolic and always engagingly bumbling' (The List) leaving you in no doubt that he is a 'a very funny man' (XFM) with 'geekish likeability' (Chortle).

Matt's career in comedy began in 2003 with a well-received fringe show, Soft Toys, which was followed by his 2005 show, Ladykiller. In 2008, after playing just a few small gigs as a musical act, he began being offered circuit work and since then has earned audience and critical acclaim during performances at the UK's leading comedy festivals, including Manchester, Bath and Leicester.

The comic is also Director of Programming at Manchester-based comedy production company Channel K, whilst his varied experience also includes stints as narrator for Bravo!, producer and director of hit BBC One observational documentary Bailiffs, journalist on Plymouth Sound Radio and Daily Star writer discussing sex and relationships for the Daily Star.

Matt Tiller's Awkward Situation will have audiences in stitches as he reveals more cringe-worthy, charming and laughter-inducing scenarios at Just The Tonic at the Caves - and remember; they are all entirely true!
