2010 Edinburgh Fringe
Josie Long: Be Honourable!
Be Honourable! is about trying to be a saint, strangers, politics, complacency and breakfast. The shows aim is to provoke people into changing the world. If you like breakfast but not the idea of the rest, you'll be pleased to know that the breakfast bit is at the start, freeing the second half up for your own private thoughts. Consider it a safe space to relax while Josie's soothing estuary tones echo around the cave. Josie is earnest and full of optimism. It's a ramshackle call-to-arms. 'What great comedy can be. Inspired and inspiring' ***** (Metro).

My Edinburgh: Josie Long, comedian
This year I've done three things differently from any other year I've been at the Fringe.
Josie Long, The Independent, 23rd August 2010More details
Quirky, original, creative, unique: Josie Long's unusual style of comedy shot her to cult fame when she won the esteemed Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 2006 and her shows just get more inventive and imaginative as time goes on.
Josie's had a year off. Her time has been spent talking to strangers, studying grassroots political activism and finding modern heroes. She's also been strangely drawn to a man who takes photographs of his breakfast each morning and posts them on the internet. This is a show about how what you do each day matters and how we all need to Be Honourable in our everyday lives.
Since her triumph at the 2006 Fringe, Josie has gone on to perform sell-out West End runs, appear at the prominent Melbourne, Adelaide, New Zealand and Montreal International Comedy Festivals, tour 3 solo shows nationwide, sell out shows in LA and New York, and feature on 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2) and You Have Been Watching (Channel 4). Her second solo show Trying is Good was released on DVD in 2008 and her latest show All of the Planets Wonders (Shown in Detail) became a Radio 4 series. Josie has also written for and appeared in Channel 4's teen comedy-drama Skins as well as been a guest on various radio programmes and podcasts.
