A new show celebrating the wonky and naïve in a world where we grow up too quickly. It's about innocence and the beauty of the sad winky face. Set minds to blown! As a teenager I learned about the world through rumour and graffiti; the iPhone was the stuff of a madman's dream. Join sometime co-presenter of Jon Richardson's 6Music show, resident barman at Fordy's Lock-In and all round buffoon for stories, jokes, and tiny little truth-bombs. 'Effortlessly entertaining' (Chortle.co.uk); 'One of the most naturally talented comedians I've seen' (Telegraph); 'Awesomely self-possessed' (Guardian).

Winner of Best Debut Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival, John Robins returns to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a brand new show, Nomadic Revery, celebrating the wonky and naïve in a world where we grow up too quickly.

As a teenager John learned about the world through rumour and graffiti; the iPhone was the stuff of a madman's dream. "One of the most naturally talented comedians I've seen" (Telegraph) will aim to convince audiences that you are more likely to woo with innocence and naivety than knowledge in 'a breezily funny hour' (The Scotsman); the man in which an hour of 'his charming, generous and honest company is so effortlessly entertaining' (Chortle).

John made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2005, reaching the semi-final of So You Think You're Funny? before returning in 2007 as part of the prestigious comedy showcase The Comedy Zone. A year later, John collaborated with fellow rising star Carl Donnelly in Carl Donnelly VS John Robins VS Predator to widespread acclaim, returning in 2009 with John Robins' Skinny Love which earned critical acclaim all round.

The quick-witted stand-up's talent was quickly secured for radio and he has become a regular presence on BBC6 Music, guest presenting The Russell Howard and The Jon Richardson Shows as well as presenting documentaries on Lou Reed and Frank Zappa for XFM. Similarly, he made his television debut in 2008 when he was asked to perform on Arthur Smith's Comedy Club on ITV.

John is one of the Edinburgh Fringe's most likeable comedians, and at the Tron through-out August, he is set to continue impressing audiences and critics alike with his own unique, warming take on what life has thrown at him over the past 12 months.
