2010 Edinburgh Fringe
John Cooper Clarke
The bard of Salford, punk poet extraordinaire and one of England's most iconic performers. Think poetry is dull, boring, posh or erudite? You haven't seen JCC. Machine gun fast delivery is mixed with gritty northern realism and original humour that can't be emulated. During the punk era he provided perfect show support for Buzzcocks, Joy Divison, the Fall and many others. This set features an abundance of new material as well as the old favourites, such as 'Beasley Street' and 'I Married a Monster from Outer Space'. The man, the hair, a genius!
