Tiffany Stevenson, who is performing her show Dictators at The Stand, supplies us with her performers guide to enjoying the fringe...

Rule 1. Don't read a single review just wait for people to inexplicably become your new best friend or look at you with pity and tilt their heads.

Rule 2. If someone utters the phrase "There is a massive buzz about me" or "I am getting alot of heat" it is totally socially acceptable to punch them in the face.

Rule 3. Get Michael Urie to take a photo of you on a segway. A festival must...

Rule 4. Drink cocktails in the loft bar.

Rule 5. Get other people who aren't losing thousands of pounds to buy them.

Rule 6. Don't accept a date with a man... if he asks you whilst urinating on the street. Who's with me?

Rule 7. Always carry a picture of your cat/child with you. A great conversation starter.

Rule 8. Find a festival diet that suits you. Try booze, no food and sheer panic. The pounds will just drop off!

Rule 9. Be altruistic - recommend other peoples shows just because they are brilliant. Go see Storm Large, Roisin Conaty, Tara Flynn and Carl Donnelly.

Rule 10. Always see a show that is on at 2.05pm and is about Dictators...
