Back after sell-out shows in 2008 and 2009, Funny Women Finalists Domestic Goddi return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Wonderland. Get ready for a brand new sketch show from The Herald's Pick of the Fringe Rosie Wilkinson, BBC Comedy Award Winner Helen O'Brien and their Stage Award nominee co-star Genevieve Swallow, as they promise: if you're feeling weak, limp, lifeless? Domestic Goddi Wonderland will restore your healthy shine.
Meet yummy mummy Rosie Wilkinson who weans her baby on sashimi and udon noodles while running over pensioners with her 4x4 buggy; clinically single Helen O'Brien who reminisces about assassinated presidents and goes guerilla sales shopping; and borderline homeowner Genevieve Swallow who studies for a PhD in game show formats with good bacteria.
The Hot Gear girls are back to shoulder-test the latest designer handbags; whilst pensioner stand-up Mrs. Manning warms up the Alzheimer's crowd; and the disaster that is Wonderland Farm upsets the children, as the barely legal 'Freak Show' alarms the adults. Plus, the groundbreaking Wonderland Game Show! is looking for a lucky contestant...
Domestic Goddi Wonderland is written and performed by Helen O'Brien and Rosie Wilkinson and co-stars Geneieve Swallow. Helen is expecting great things from Rosie this year, to make up for the fact that she hopelessly failed to give birth on stage in 2009. Both of them are expecting great things from Genevieve, who thoughtlessly stole the show last year, after being drafted in as maternity cover.
