Following the huge success of his 2009 Edinburgh Fringe sketch show The Mothwokfantastic, rising star Daniel Rigby returns to the fringe with his first solo stand-up show: Afterbirth.

At the age of 19 Daniel was converted to Christianity. After being stood up by Jesus every Sunday for 2 years, he dumped him. This is the post natal confession of a lapsed Born-Again.

In 2006 Daniel Rigby started doing stand-up comedy and in 2007 he won the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year and went on to reach the final of So You Think You're Funny? in Edinburgh. Following his very first show at the Pleasance Theatre in Islington, he landed a major DVD deal and the Pleasance presented him in their Comedy Reserve show supporting future talent at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2008.

In 2009 Daniel received critical acclaim for his sketch show The Mothwokfantastic and performed in The Music Show at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.

Daniel Rigby graduated from RADA in 2004 and since then has worked consistently in theatre, TV and film. Daniel has performed in Yukio Ninagawa's Hamlet for the Barbican, a version of Midsummer Night's Dream with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in New York and London, the UK premiere of Seamus Heaney's Burial at Thebes and starred in The Count of Monte Cristo at The West Yorkshire Playhouse. His TV credits include the part of Billy Moss in Lilies (BBC1), The Street (BBC1) and Spooks Code 9 (BBC3).
