I'm just listening to him doing stand up now, on Radio 4, and am well impressed. Anyone else a fan of him?
Russell Kane
Enjoyed watching the idiot awards he hosted and his spots on I'm a Celebrity on ITV2 were quite fun.
Not a big fan, but he's quite likeable.
The Idiot Awards was absolutely terrible. I do like Russell Kane though.
They may have been terrible, but I can't get YouTube on my PC so It was quite handy to see some of the "Classics?" I may have missed
Aaaah that explains it. We'd seen most of the clips, so it was mainly just guff for us.
I really liked him on IACGMOOH Now. Thought he was fresh, irreverent and original. I'd definitely like to see more of him on the telebox.
I have absolutely no opinion whatsoever on Russell Kane.
I've never seen Russell Kane and David Bussell in the same place at the same time.
Russell Bussell?
I have never heard of The Idiot Awards before. Russell Kane has some good material, but he looks like a 40 year old man trying to be 19. An absolutely terrible look that he desperately needs to get rid of. I just can't get past the mismatch.

Here I am trying to perfect my John Bishop look and you hit me with Russell Kane?!
Hit! Kane! You're a f**king comedy *genius*, man!

On first looking at Rusell Kane, I thought I wouldn't like him. He looked to me like a lot of the new young 'say something stupid very loud' brigade.
But his daily material on 'Celebrity now' was very good and well observed and delivered.
From what I have seen - I am a fan!

Yeah, his image doesn't really put across that he's actually got some rather intelligent material (he did a Shakespeare inspired Edinburgh show for example)... but I don't blame him for not putting on a blazer with elbow patches etc.
His move into general presenting is slightly worrying though - as discussed elsewhere on the forum, this general move into celebrity presenting (see: Michael McIntyre, Sarah Millican) is a bit dodgy.
He grew on me, and I adore him now.
I think he's intelligent, enthusiastic, articulate, warm and lovely. I LOVE stand up that has something to say rather than just being purely funny.

Although I think if Russell were to do a Bussell and backcomb the quiff he cshould be on to something.
