REPORTER
I am reporting from Malawi one of Africas famine black spots where the villagers behind me tell me that this is the worst famine in living memory.
In fact records show that the famine in Malawi has now surpassed the worst on record, the great famine of 1947. Today I met Eranda a 45 year old man who lives in makeshift accomodation with his wife and his 7 children. He explained that in order for his family to survive he has to walk 14 miles every morning to the nearest river to fill a rusty bucket with water, by the time he returns much of the water has leaked or evaporated in the blistering heat, but in order to keep his family alive he does it all again in the afternoon. This is a touching story and one that leaves us all asking the question.... Why doesent Eranda move his family closer to the F**king river
