It's wonderful to say let's be mates together and let bye gones be bye gones.

When you're in a economical dmeographic majority.

And there's a big gap between pride and arrogance or prejudice.

We should be grown up enought to recognise that.

We are. That isn't the point I'm making. I am not saying let bygones be bygones.

I am saying that misplaced pride often leads to arrogance and prejudice.

So, sootyj would eat beaver given the chance?

Well as Mrs Palin is from Alaska I suspect she could produce a feast of hot moose and beaver pie.

So I would eat Sara Palin's hot beaver pie and ask for seconds.

Pride often leads to arrogance and prejudice.

But not always.

We can not let the aberant minority decide the fate of the majority.

Do you think he stands a chance? Everything seems against him winning.

Did you thing Bush had a chance to be reelected in 2004? He was trailing by a few points right before the election, as is McCain in 2008. Anything can happen. All I can do is vote my conscience and accept the outcome. I like the way we switch back and forth between Republican and Democrat every few years. Keeps everyone on their toes.

Supreme Leader of the Galactic Federation (President of the USA). Many states have early voting to ease the lines on election day. I'll be flying to Florida on the 4th, so I'm voting early.

My vote is private, but I'm not voting for The Messiah®. ;)

Sounds like your voting twice.......

How anyone could vote for McCain is beyond me. Sick

n.b. Spoling your ballots is for wimps.

Soil them! Exept it might be mistaken as a literal vote for Brown.

Not always, no ..but often.

I think a lot of oppressors are quite proud people, don't you?

Can you define for me who the aberrant minority are (in your opinion)?

And Obama has that awful Clinton woman as his running mate. I am not voting in that election, I am glad to say.

No he doesn't.

Did you thing Bush had a chance to be reelected in 2004?

Yes, John Kerry was a right duffer and the Iraq war hadn't turned into quite the unmitigated disaster it would become. Plus Bush tended to save his other big scandals for his second term.

Any one who would use their belief in themsleves to justify ill treatment of others, or tolerate that.

There's an ocean of diference between Muslims celebrating Ramadan in the square and offering Iftar aid to the homeless.

And those who choose to use it to justify violence or spousal abuse.

The more pride and dignity you offer one, the less you offer the other.

Of course unthinking tolerance is a dangerous thing.

By allowing people to be proud in healthy sexual relationships, it makes it easier to identify and condemn unhealthy (e.g. polygmaous paedophilic) ones.

Personally I think tolerance may be creeping up to much these days.

No he doesn't.

Doesn't he? Huh?

Nope! You twat. :)

*tests the waters for how insulting you can be if you put a smiley after it*

What to tolerate and where and how to a draw a line and enforce it, there's the rub! And who is to judge? The good ol' US of A may have a view on that..

Oh dear, his running mate is Joe Bidden.

A windbag famous for plagarising Neil Kinnock.
