I smuggled a couple of human shinbones back from the Scilly Isles once, in a deep pocket of my macintosh. 
The divers on the silver-treasure ship had found them and wanted them carbon-dated by a university dept in London. We all thought they dated from the 1700's, the date of the treasure ship, 
but I learned later that they dated at only about 10 years old, so was probably an unfortunate Scillies fisherman or tourist. I don't know what they did with the bones afterwards.
