British Comedy Guide

I am looking for comedy writers

I work with a Creative Comms Agency in London. We are producing a viral video for one of our clients who are relaunching their website and want to promote it in a fun way. We have an idea of how we want the video to work, although we are open to other ideas from an expert purveyor of comedy. What we need is a writer who can come in and transform our content/ideas into something hysterically funny. If you are interested, please contact me by email mel.rees@rbi.co.uk.

If you get in touch, please could you include samples of your work, preferably links to video or TV work you've done.

thanks...oh, and we want to start work as soon as possible please!

Can anyone smell money?

Me neither.

It was a paid job, taken now.

Dammit, that means I failed to make the grade!

How do you know?

Thanks to everyone who emailed me about this. I have now selected a shortlist of people I think are the most suitable for this particular brief. We'll certainly be doing more of this type of work so I'll be back here the next time we need someone. Thanks again.

Cheers, Mel.

So fess up, writers - who made the grade?

Next time, could you give a bit more of a brief? You'd be likely to get better responses from people if they have a better idea of what you're after.

I like big willys.

Good job I quoted in time.

What a meat market!

It's like in the old films when The Man comes round on the back of a lorry and says he needs men and loads run out saying "giz a job!" and he makes his selection!

Good luck to the selected few!

*shuffles off back into the shadows*
