As I said (I think) this is all about the North American rights . . . I'm pretty sure that if Paramount's deal was in jeapordy they'd be weighing in on Warner's behalf . . . but, nary a peep . . .
It implies nothing about rights (in that sense), in any territory. It seems to be talking about actual ownership of the movie as a whole. We'd have to wait for the final judgement to see the exact details, but if it did go that way then it's highly unlikely that the distribution deal with Paramount would stand.

Again, if that were the case wouldn't Paramount be defending their perceived rights?
If it came down to that, they probably would do. I also suspect that they'd have no leg to stand on. We'll see.
