They're casting the Gotham TV series:

I've a feeling this'll be tween crap.

It looks like it would make Birds of Prey look like Pride ad Prejudice.

What is it with urge to reinvent endlessly, still probably not as bad as the new Robocop looks.

There was a Comic book a few years back called Gotham Central, which focused on the cops and how they felt and went about their police work with this Batman spectre over them. Running into crime scenes after someone like Mr Freeze has murdered someone. That was really good, but this doesn't look to be an adaptation.

I originally heard it would focus of a young Jim Gordon, and not feature Batman, but that later changed to be the young Bruce Wayne.

Sounds like it could be a Smallville type thing, which I don't watch.

The only decent character in Smallville is Lex Luther.

I liked Lois and Clarke

Gotham Central was good, but it kinda focussed to hard on what was implausible about superhero comics. Kind of staff I used to write smug skits about.
