Yes, so far the CGI hulks have been a bit naff. I sometimes think they should just do it the TV show way and paint a muscly green.

I love the TV series even though it was a bit bland. Bill Bixby was great, and that haunting piano theme at the end of each episode.
Maybe all the muscly men have unionised and are demanding too much money for the indignity of beng painted green, and it turned out to be cheaper to do it CG. I do hate bad CGI with a passion - if you can't even achieve a standard that was reached nearly 20 years ago (Jurassic Park was 20 years ago! How ca that be?!) then you have no business making films.

I think the green bit's the problem. A grey hulk might work better. Or a furry brown hulk. Green's too cartoonish.
