I'm smiling alot after the heat finally dropped. I can't stand heat!

It was 102F when I left my office. All the exterior metal surfaces were sweating due to the humidity vs. aiir conditioning.

Tampa will be even worse. :(

Glad I'm not you - only for heat reasons of course. I'd love to be in Tampa later!

Stupid iPhone.

Correct.

Aaron is loving this.

:)

Hacked off as his pc hd has just died. :(

Don't you use a Mac? Stop giving Aaron ammo.

All that porn, gone!

Never fear, there will always be more porn. Whoever said that "only two things in life are inevitable - death and taxes" - should add internet porn to that his list.

Bad luck, Nil. :(

Have you tried shouting at it?

Yes. No ammo for Aaron, it's my pc that's f**ked not my mac.

Ohhh yes.

Ohhh yes.

What about running a recovery program from CD? You know, those things that seem at first to be working, then the screen goes blank, but you can sense that the program is still vaguely running due to intermittent HD light activity. You leave your blank-screen computer overnight, in the delusional hope that somehow it will have all sorted itself out by the morning.

Then you wake up and shout at it some more.

Before you give it one final chance to work...

Laughing out loud Nah, I think it's had it. It's making clicking noises.

Perhaps it just wants to start a jazz dance troupe?

Clicking not tapping. Unless it's auditioning for West Side Story.

That would make sense.

My laptop's CD player stopped working. I blame iTunes. Any idea how to get it working again? (it will play DVDs)
