Who are you going with? Don't go with Barcleys (sp?), they are evil bastards with a bad rep for students.

:O

I've been with Barclays since I was a student!

Barcleys are notorious for not allowing students access to their overdrafts even when they are deperate. Natwest are automatic and are always willing to help.

My poor friend in the first year lost her job and ran out of money. She had not been wasting it on nights out but course items. She had no food in the house and was begging them for two hours to let her go £50 beyond the £200 automatic overdraft. They said no because she didn't have reciepts proving the money went of things for her course. When I was with natwest, I NEVER had to ask for mine and was never refused.

NatWest. UCAS wrote to me to tell me they were good after I'd looked into them (albeit due to sponsorship) and I have friends who use them, so it seems right. Pleased

GOOD GIRL!!!! *Sends Scatts a kettle*

Pleased I am at home first year, so will set it up in my room to play student. Laughing out loud

I was right stupid when I went to Uni.

I walked in on the first day with £50 in my pocket.

No bank account

My money I earned in was in a passbook savings account with a building socitey without a branch in Loughborough!

Clever lad!

Did you go to Loughborough then? That's a nice little university with a sweet little campus! :$

Is it home time yet?

Ellie loved Blur last night, and is so glad she went to see them yesterday as it's raining here today. Although still hot!

Chipolata's just said hello to a lot of people in the Introductions section to get his post count up.

It was well worth it!

Halfway through mowing the lawn and taking a cool-off break. It's so hot outside (39C) that the thermal fuse on the electric mower trips every 20 feet and I wave to wait 60 seconds for it to reset. Angry

Maybe that's a sign that you should do it later...?

Robyn is now in a rush, and hoping it doesn't rain. Unimpressed

Only £200? I have £1,250.

This is like debt Top Trumps.

£2450.

Which is higher than it was when I was at uni.

I am rubbish with money. Very good at spending it though.
