Glad your eyes are better!
Could you please carry on calling lofthouse lifthorse, though. That was fun.

Only if I can call you Poooo

I've thought about it and I've changed my mind.
Nicknames are a terrible idea.

Probably Jupiter, which is near Venus "in the Sky" nowadays.

Install the program "Stellarium" to sort out these kind of "What" issues.

Yes it seems to be Jupiter which I'm sure everyone will be able to see on a clear night. And they are getting closer to each other - well visibly.

Bunny rabbits 🐰

Had a farmer try to accost me Sunday morning.
Took my dog for a walk across his fields to get to a public footpath.

He came shouting the odds with his big dog and a gun.
Threatened to set his dog on me and tried to block my path.

I calmly told him that there was no gate and no signage therefore it was an implied right of access.
He then said I was trespassing of which I informed him was a civil matter - not a crime. And now I know, I shall leave.
He tried to block me from leaving towards the footpath. This I told him was attempted false imprisonment and was a crime.
He said he was calling the police, to which I replied, good, I have committed no crime but you have possibly three.
Intimidation with a firearm, threat of violence by a dog, and attempted false imprisonment.
Having a solicitor for a friend pays off.

That is totally outrageous

What an absolute dick!

Probably a Tory 😆

I knew about the laws of trespass because it had happened before.
That time, I was also accused of poaching too.
Me and t'dog had gone to look at the official Robin Hood's grave.
Two landrovers came flying across the moorlands with two men and two guns.
The police were called. You'd think I was one of the great train robbers the way the land owners acted.
The copper told them that if they had not found any game or poaching equipment on me, they must ask me to leave.
They did...and I did.

Almost finished brewing 10 gallons of what should be very close (I'm using their yeast) to Harvey's Sussex Best. After I clean up, I'm heading to my friends' vacation home in Bandera - the self-proclaimed Cowboy Capital of the World.

It's been a minute.

I can beat that record.

Don't know what to do with myself at 10.30 now there's no Popmaster.

Fear not Billy, he owns the show and will be broadcasting it in April at his new radio station.
Greatest Hits Radio I believe.

Out of interest I listened to their new quiz.

Confusing to say the least.

Ken doesn't start yet does he?

'phone call to my insurance company. An automated voice asks:

"Can you say briefly what you are calling about today"

"My storage heater has stopped working"

"Can you say what exactly is the problem with your tap"

"No, my heating is not working"

"Is your tap dripping?"

Shark vacuums.

We bought one just over a year ago. An excellent piece of kit - it does what it says on the tin.
3 weeks out of guarantee, it blew up. A loud bang, blue flashes and smoke.
I called shark to see what they could do.
They could send an engineer £80 for the first hour + parts + extra labour if it takes more than an hour.
Or I could buy spare parts for the part that has blown up or even buy a brand new one with a 10% discount

I stripped it down - no easy feat and came across the culprit - the PCB for the brush motor.
Of course, they don't sell that bit, only the whole bottom half. £110 - 3 weeks back order

That picture is taken through my electronic repair magnifying lamp. The PCB is tiny and the components even smaller.
5 minutes micro surgery with a rework hot air gun to replace 2 blown resistors and it's back working perfectly.
Cost = 2, 5p resistors.
The vac cost about £250, top of the range.
