Wiliam Purry - you need to seek some professional help if you genuinly feel like that:

honestly this is not any f**king joke - ive got the knife ready but perhaps I can hold on.

if you feel that bad then you're best of accessing mental health support, either via your AE dept or GP.

Treatments pretty quick and effective for the crisis side of things.

I'm not sure we'll be much help.

Good luck let us know how you get on.

This.

Good luck, William.

It's not nice to mock the mentally unstable in such a way. If it's not a joke, then why are you telling us, there are plenty of other forums aimed specifically towards your needs. If it's a cry for help, well, I'm not sure it really is.

Comedy and mental illhealth are pretty much stable mates.

Or should it be unstable mates...

Rik Mayall is a fine example for this thesis, I think. A man who excorcises his demons via his acting.

I don't know what on earth's going on here, but if you do need help William I hope you get it. None of us here can help, beyond giving you contact details for Samaritans etc, as none of us know where you live.

Call the Samaritans or go to your local A&E department asap William (they will get an on duty psychiatrist to see and access you) if you haven't already done so, like others have said, posting on here if you are in a desperate state is not going to achieve anything. Good luck.

Had the law round checking on me!

As in the police?

Did you tell them you wanted to kill yourself?

I was able to reassure them. Woman was rather attractive actually.

Your still intact interest for women is not a bad sign. I wish you all the best.

So you don't want to kill yourself now? I am glad if that is the case but we would probably all appreciate it if you kept your thought proceses away from these boards. As other posters have told you, we can't really offer the level of support required for real thoughts of suicide and it is a bit unfair on the more sensitive members.

I don't want you to think you are being stalked but I did Google your name (as it is so unusual) and see that you posted similar comments on your Twitter page. If you are feeling better you might want to remove them before the Twitter police get you!

Good luck.

I feel for you man - I was in a very dark place 20+ years ago and came through it with counselling when the ADs my GP prescribed made me feel worse. You've got to hang in there - things WILL get better, please believe me.

Speak to someone - if you can't get a counsellor then ring the Samaritans and get it off your chest. I did that - poured my heart out, had a good cry (no shame in a man crying) and felt better for it when things were put into perspective.

It's like drugs, drink or fags - it never goes away BUT you learn to cope with it and tell yourself that it WILL NOT get the better of me, although I did have a relapse a couple of months ago when I totally broke down, but that was more to do with my wife having had a brain haemorrhage some three years ago and I had to carry on working and do all the work/cooking etc. that she used to do - I'll be f**ked if I let it get to me again. Even typing and posting this to you is therapy for me, so thank you - you've helped me and I wish I could speak to you about it, but sincerely hope this helps you.
